Opus 3 comes with a range of coloured outer panels for you to select from. Everything from White to Black can be accomodated for with a number of special patterns also available such as carbon fibre finish. This allows personalisation of booths to suit your salon image, branding etc. Single colour branding of your choice is included in the price which may comprise your brand, salon name etc. Multiple colour branding is charged at extra cost. i-tan are the only company as far as we are aware, that allows salon branding to be introduced to spray tanning equipment.
Using downflow extraction technology, air is pulled downwards through the foot grate at a rate exceeding 2,000 cubic meters per hour, ensuring that all overspray is effectively removed from the spray chamber and that the client, and therapist are never in a position where they breath in airborne particulate. Your treatment room is never exposed to overspray as this is contained within the confines of the spray booth.
Dirty air is pulled through the foot grate and scrubbed through a series of filters and baffle plates, efficiently cleaning the air. This clean air is then re-circulated within the confines of Opus 3 and re-introduced above the client as warm air. This ensures a comfortable spray treatment is experienced by the client.
The aluminium foot grate is hinged at the rear to allow easy access and replacement of the 1st and 2nd stage filters. This is coated with an anti-slip finish. An access hatch is provided within the bottom section of the centre panel, allowing authorised access to the compressor in case of replacement. No adjustment or maintenance of the air supply system is required.
To add to client comfort, six lights are fitted within the roof section of the spray chamber, illuminating the spray chamber. This lighting up of the spray booth, also assists the therapist as the tanning guide colour is highlighted on the clients skin.
Clean, warm air is delivered into the spray chamber above the client through a 'clean-room' F5 graded filter. The On/Off button is located on the upper access hatch within the centre panel, allowing authorised access to the temperature controller and system controller in case of replacement. 6 20W lights are spaced effectively within the roof section of the spray chamber.
The diaphragm air generator is fitted within the confines of the spray booth and used to feed air efficiently to the spray gun, the latest development in LVLP (Low Volume Low Pressure) spray technology. Tans are still applied quickly with a full body tan taking no more than 5 minutes. The transfer efficiency of the LVLP spray gun, far exceeds that of the older HVLP technology resulting in less waste and therefore, higher profitability. A rubber grip handle allows the gun to sit comfortably in the hand and is complemented with a 'perfect feel' trigger. The small gravity feed cup allows for 2 tans back to back and can accomodate any tanning brand without compromise. A high quality, robust and reliable spray tool.
A single power socket, (normal household plug socket), is required to power the booth. An On / Off switch is provided and used to power up the spray booth when treatments need to be applied. Pressing the start switch will switch on the extraction fans, activate the air-flow heater, switch the lights on and start the Diaphragm pump.
Opus 3 is a superb, compact design which includes the spray delivery and extraction. It fits neatly into corner spaces, against the wall and is equally at home in the middle of the treatment room. Measuring just 1,200mm (W) x 1,250mm (D) x 2,200mm (H), it will fit into most treatment rooms with ease. For lower ceiling heights, Opus 3 can be reduced in height by request to a minimum of 2,080mm.
These 3D models of Opus 3 clearly show how precise the actual booths are to the original design. A highly advanced 3D software modelling program is used to design & detail all i-tan equipment to exacting standards. In fact, for Opus 3, only two slight modifications were made to the design following manufacture of the prototype, such is the accuracy of the design software.
Maintenance of Opus 3 couldn't be easier. At the end of the day, just a simple wipe down of spray chamber surfaces using a damp cloth is required and a quick warm water flush through the spray gun. Filters require changing every 80 - 100 spray tans with 6-month service filter packs available from i-tan at just $170. Even the exhaust filters can be changed by the salon and done so on a yearly basis. That's pretty much it.
If a failure does occur for any reason with a component of the spray booth, the majority of parts are designed for quick replacement by the salon. The Diaphragm Pump for example can be accessed through a small hatch for plug socket replacement, it couldn't be easier.
With a number of successful installations, Opus 3 is our best selling spray booth and is receiving fantastic reviews. As with all our equipment so far, we have not received a single call with respect to equipment failure. This goes to show that the equipment we have selected, following extensive testing, is robust and reliable for the heavy day to day demands of the spray tanning environment. It is the experience behind the design and quality of equipment selection that recently saw the installation of Opus 3 into Agua at The Sanderson Hotel - London, an exclusive 5 star hotel used by the stars. To complement their operation, Opus 2 is used as a mobile tanning operation by James Read, a recognised top celebrity spray tanning expert.
Our latest installation has seen 3 x Opus 3 systems installed in a wonderfull new franchise operation - , with its start-up model recently opened in Scottsdale Arizona. Offering its customers an exclusive membership scheme, new salons will be opening throughout North America during 2010. Current brands being offered by Naked Beauty are St Tropez and Bronzed Up with more to follow. A total of 500 sites are planned over the next 5 years and will see the introduction of more Opus 3 booths, Opus 2 and the unique Opus 4 - Automatic due for launch in 2010.

We had used previous designs of spray booth from Chris Nelson of i-tan Limited, when he used to design and manufacture spray tanning systems exclusively for St Tropez. When we heard Chris had set up his new business i-tan, we knew the equipment was going to be special. He proved us right when we received our Opus 1, 2 and 3. We truly believe this is the best equipment of its kind on the market, so much so, we worked very hard in obtaining distribution of his equipment into North America.
