Finally, the spray machine is integrated into a lightweight aluminium travel case and can be used with Opus 2 extraction system, or for new start therapists wanted to expand into spray tanning, spray tanning tents can be purchased from a number of outlets.
Although Opus 2 has been designed for the mobile therapist, it is equally at home in the salon as a permanent feature due to its comprehensive extraction and filtration system and is the smallest 'rigid' extraction spray booth on the market today.
If you are looking to use the Opus 2 as your In-Salon Extraction System, the unit is delivered to your salon in 2 boxes, (3 if you include the spray tanning case) and comes with our 'industry-first' 2 year warranty. The system can be assembled and up and running within 2 minutes. No tools are required for assembly.
For any mobile therapist to be offering a responsible spray tanning service, you must consider the Health & Safety implications for both your client and yourself. Spray Tanning is the only treatment in the beauty industry, other than Nails, that presents a possible health risk with airborne contamination by breathing in wet or solid particulate into the lungs. Over time, your health may suffer by continued exposure to airborne particulate (overspray), more so than the client. Although there is no legislation in place at the moment which monitors the Health & Safety aspect of spray tanning, many local health authorities are beginning to investigate claims of equipment being unfit for operation.
Take into account also, the damage spray tan particulate creates in the home of your clients, staining plastics, paintwork, fixtures & fittings and floors. The last thing you want is to be sued for damages. These are the hidden costs of poor extraction.
Opus 2 provides a high standard of extraction, effectively removing airborne particulate and pulling it at a rate of 1,000 cubic meters per hour into a comprehensive filtration system within the spray chamber. There is no need for therapists to wear face masks as airborne particulate is never pushed back towards them, only ever pulled away from behind the client.
Opus 2 can include our professional Travel Tanning Case - (ordered separately) as seen above and incorporates the latest technology in spray gun and diaphragm air compressor. Alternatively, you can use you current spray gun system.

Step 1 - Lay down Rubber, Non-Slip floor mat into desired location. Opus 2 fits great in the corner of the room. The floor mat includes a small diamond raised pattern which is comfortable under foot and designed for non-slip applications. The area required is less than 1m x 1m.
Step 2 - Position Lower Extraction Chamber onto Rubber Floor Mat. The lower chamber weighs less than 6kg making it extremely easy to handle.
Step 3 - Locating 2 pins at the rear of the panel, slot RH Lower Panel to Lower Extraction Chamber. Panels are a light-weight composite aluminium weighing less than 2kg per panel. Panels are available in a number of colours, (white being the standard), and can be printed up with your salon name.
Step 4 - Locating 2 pins at the rear of the panel, slot LH Lower Panel to Lower Extraction Chamber. Once the second panel is in position, you will begin to realise just how rigid this booth is. Using state-of-the-art computer software, we are able to design all parts to exacting standards making the fitting tolerances very accurate. To support our designs, we use the services of market-leading fabricators to manufacture our parts to the highest standards.
Step 5 - Lift Upper Extraction Chamber and locate onto Lower Chamber by locating 2 pins. Once in position, clamps are provided either side of the chambers allowing the 2 chambers to be secured to each other. Again, the Upper Chamber weighs less than 6kg making it very easy to lift and place into the required position. Once clamped, the two chambers become one.
Step 6 - Using the power chord provided, plug the 2 connector plugs into the 2 sockets on the RH side of the Extraction Chambers. Do not plug into the wall socket just yet. All equipment complies to the EMC & CE directives and is tested thoroughly before shipping.
Step 7 - Locating the Upper RH Panel, align 3 pins and slot together. A guide slot is also provided along the upper edge of the lower panel, securing the assembly of the panels.
Step 8 - Locating the Upper LH Panel, align 3 pins and slot together. A guide slot is also provided along the upper edge of the lower panel. Once the final panel is fitted, taking less than 2 minutes to get to this stage and without the need to use tools, you now have a rigid spray extraction booth fully assembled. The total size of the unit measures W950mm x D750mm x H1,880mm and weighs less than 20kg. It is capable of extracting at rates in excess of 1,000 cubic meters per hour and is the quietest extraction booth on the market today.
Step 9 - Insert the plug into the wall socket...... you are ready to extract !!!! You have the option to use your existing airbrush or HVLP spray tanning machine if you wish.... i-tan do not lock you into only using our equipment. If it suits your business, use what you are familiar with. However, we would like to add that our Travel Tanning Case, in our experienced opinion, comprises the best spray tanning gun on the market and will last you for years.
The 1st stage filters, fitted within the front filter panel, require changing every month and are used to capture the majority of wet overspray during treatment. 3 sets of 1st stage filters are supplied with your Opus 2, (one set fitted, two sets spare). The 2nd stage filters sit just behind the 1st stage filters and are grease impregnated. This captures the smaller, dryer particulate that manages to pass through the 1st stage filter and will require replacement every 3 months. It is always recommended that during each filter change, a thorough wipe-down of the chambers is conducted. 6-Month Filter Service Packs can be purchased from i-tan for £80, which looks after your Opus 2 filter requirements for 6 months. Each pack comprises 6 x 1st stage filters, 2 x 2nd stage filters and 2 x 3rd stage filters (exhaust filters).
Opus 2 includes exhaust filters too, neatly fitted into the rear of the Extraction Chambers. These simply require replacement every 2 months and easily done so, once the chambers are apart. A filter insertion tool is provided to make the changing of filters easy. This level of air management ensures that your treatment rooms remain clean from overspray damage as dirty air passes through a total of 3 filter sets.
Opus 2 is used by the professional celebrity tanning expert James Read for his mobile operation of the business.
